Connect your Meta Pixel to your involve.me funnel to track user behavior and optimize your Meta ad campaigns.
ℹ️ Meta Pixel is available on all plans. On the Free plan, only page views are tracked. Custom events (like form submissions and completions) require a paid plan — Starter, Pro, or Business. You can test with a free 14-day trial.
How to Set Up Meta Pixel on involve.me
The setup on involve.me takes less than a minute. All you need is your Pixel ID from Meta.
Go to your Meta Events Manager → Data Sources → select your Pixel → copy the Pixel ID.
In involve.me, open your funnel → Settings → Tracking.
Paste the Pixel ID (only the numbers — the "ID" label is not needed).
Click Update Settings.
That's it. Once saved, involve.me automatically sends events to your Pixel for every supported action.
Meta Pixel vs. Meta Tags — What's the Difference?
This is one of the most common points of confusion, since both use the word "meta" but they are completely unrelated.
Meta Pixel | Meta Tags | |
What it is | A tracking tool from the company Meta (formerly Facebook) | HTML code snippets ( |
What it does | Tracks user behavior (page views, form submissions, completions) and sends data to your Meta Ads account | Provides information about your page to browsers and search engines — used for domain verification, SEO, social media previews, etc. |
Where you set it up in involve.me | Settings → Tracking (paste your Pixel ID) | Settings → Custom Meta Tags (paste your HTML meta tag code) |
When you need it | When you want to track funnel activity for your Meta ad campaigns | When you need to verify a custom domain, improve SEO, or customize how your funnel appears when shared on social media |
If you're looking to verify your custom domain (for example, to use with Meta Ads or to improve SEO), see How to Add Custom Meta Tags in the Head Section.
Don't Have a Pixel ID Yet?
You can create one in a few steps from your Meta Business account:
Open the Meta Events Manager.
Click Connect data sources → select Web.
Select Meta Pixel → click Connect.
Add a name for your Pixel → click Continue.
For more details, see Meta's guide: Set up and install the Meta Pixel
Events That involve.me Sends to Your Pixel
Once connected, involve.me automatically fires these custom events. You can see them in your Meta Events Manager.
Event Name | When It Fires |
involve.me_ProjectLoaded | A user opens the funnel |
involve.me_QuestionProgress | A user interacts with an input element for the first time |
involve.me_QuestionAnswer | A user submits an answer and moves to the next page |
involve.me_ContactFormFilled | A user fills in a contact form |
involve.me_ProjectCompleted | A user reaches the end page |
involve.me_PaymentAttempted | A user attempts a payment |
involve.me_SocialMediaShare | A user clicks a social share button |
involve.me_ExternalClickURL | A user clicks an external link |
Each event includes parameters like the project name, question text, answer values, and more. These parameters are visible in your Meta Events Manager when you click on an individual event.
Events vs. Conversions — Why You May Not See Data in Ads Manager
This is a common point of confusion. In Meta, events and conversions are not the same thing:
Events are what involve.me sends to your Pixel. You can see them in the Meta Events Manager.
Conversions are what Meta Ads Manager uses to optimize campaigns. You need to create a conversion from an event — Meta does not do this automatically.
If you can see events in Events Manager but nothing shows in Ads Manager, this is why. Follow Meta's guide to set it up: How to create conversions from events in Meta
How to View Your Events in Meta
Go to your Meta Events Manager → select your Pixel → click Overview:
Creating a Custom Audience From involve.me Events
You can use involve.me events to build custom audiences for ad targeting. Here's how:

You can also create a custom audience directly in the ads builder from the Ads Manager:
Testing Your Meta Pixel
There are two ways to check that your Pixel is working:
Option 1: Meta's Test Events Tool
In your Meta Events Manager, select your Pixel → go to Test Events. Then open your involve.me funnel and interact with it. You should see events appear in real time:
Option 2: Meta Pixel Helper (Chrome Extension)
The Meta Pixel Helper is a free Chrome extension. Install it from the Chrome Web Store (search for "Meta Pixel Helper").
The icon stays greyed out on pages without a Pixel:
When it detects a valid Pixel, it turns blue:
As you navigate through your funnel, the green counter shows captured events:

Troubleshooting
Most Pixel issues are not on the involve.me side. The involve.me setup only requires a correct Pixel ID — everything else (events, conversions, audiences) is managed in Meta.
⚠️ Before reaching out to support, check the table below. In most cases the fix is either a missing/incorrect Pixel ID in involve.me, or a configuration step that needs to be done on Meta's side.
Problem | Cause | Fix |
No events showing at all | Pixel ID is missing, incorrect, or not saved | Go to involve.me Settings → Tracking, check the Pixel ID is correct (numbers only, no spaces), and click Update Settings |
Only page views, no custom events | Free plan limitation | Custom events require Starter, Pro, or Business. Start a free trial to test |
Events show in Events Manager but not in Ads Manager | Events ≠ conversions in Meta | You need to create a conversion from your event in Meta. This is a Meta-side step |
Pixel Helper stays greyed out | Pixel ID not saved or incorrect | Verify the ID in involve.me Settings → Tracking and make sure you clicked Update Settings |
Domain verification issues | Custom domain not verified in Meta | |
Events not tracked on embedded funnels | Embed tracking needs extra setup |
