In the tracking tab of your project settings, you can add your Google Analytics ID, your Facebook Pixel ID or your Google Tag Manager Container ID. This way, the correct tracking code/script will be added automatically.
Check the linked help documents to find out how to find your Facebook Pixel ID, how to find your Google Analytics ID (Google Analytics 4), and how to find your Google Tag Manager ID.
General Rules
Embedded involve.me projects with the same tracking code as their hosting webpage will be counted twice (one count for both the embed and the website for each visit will appear in your metrics under two different URLs).
Please be aware that if you leave your question text field empty you will not have the subtitle/description or placeholder sent to tracking, so it will be harder for you to identify. For privacy compliance only data from pre-defined answers like Dropdowns and Multiple Choice answers are sent. Personal data fields as well as Free Text Input fields will not be sent to tracking platforms.
Track Events via the Website Where the Project Is Embedded
When this option is enabled, the embedded project will pass the tracking events to the parent website. This way the events will be saved with the parent site's URL and not the project's URL, as long as either a Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or Facebook Pixel tracking script is installed on the parent site.
ℹ️ Adding the tracking ID separately to involve.me is not recommended when this option is enabled, as it would create duplicate tracking events.
Please note that this feature is only available on our Pro Plan and above.
