Synchronize Submission Data to Microsoft Excel

You can add Data automatically into a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet using the native integration.

Connecting the Integration

You can connect the integration either by navigating to the "Integrations" tab in the navbar or by opening the dropdown menu of your project's card and selecting "Connect" - then just click "Connect" on Microsoft Excel's card.

If you're not currently logged into your Microsoft Live account, you'll be prompted to do so. Once you're logged in, you will be asked to grant permission for to connect to your Microsoft Live account.

After granting permission, you'll be able to see the name and email address of the Microsoft Live account that you're using.

When Connected, enter the name of the spreadsheet (Excel Workbook name) you want to use, including the folder where it is located in your Microsoft Live organization. If that spreadsheet or its folder on OneDrive does not exist, it will be created automatically:

In this example, the integration will send all data automatically (answers and personal data) into the spreadsheet "Book1" located in the "MyFolder" Folder of your Live organization. Submission data is inserted in the first empty row.

Good to Know

  • Make sure that the Microsoft account you're using has a first and last name set, otherwise an error will occur.

  • If you have configured a Microsoft Excel integration on a project and you duplicate said project, your integration settings will duplicate as well.

Opt-in Checkbox and GDPR

In order to be fully GDPR compliant, you will need to tick the option "Only trigger integration when opt-in checkbox element was selected" on your integration's settings and add a dedicated opt-in checkbox that sends data over to the integration, to your project.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to set it up.

If GDPR is of no concern to you, then you can skip this step.

Testing Your Integration
