Wix is one of the many platforms where you can embed your involve.me funnels. In some cases, a funnel embed may display differently than expected on Wix, even when all embed setup steps have been followed correctly.
This article explains what to check when your funnel appears less responsive than expected or when part of the funnel display is cut off after embedding it on Wix.
Check the live participant view
Start by checking how the embed appears in the live view of your website. Wix preview mode may not always reflect the exact embed experience participants will see, so we recommend testing the real participant-facing view.
A simple way to do this is to place the embed on a website page that is not linked anywhere. This keeps the page private from participants while still allowing you to test the embed and confirm how it works in the live environment.
Recommended Wix embed method
For most Wix embed display cases, the best setup is to use your funnel’s URL instead of the HTML embed code provided by involve.me.
To add your funnel this way, go to Add Elements, select Embed Code, and then choose Embed a site. From there, enter your funnel URL, and the funnel will appear on your Wix website.
Dynamic resize does not work reliably on Wix, so you may need to test different dimensions to find the best fit for your page layout.
Why Wix embeds can behave differently
Wix uses a sandboxed embed environment rather than allowing real embeds. This means the content inside the embed cannot communicate directly with the parent website around it.
Because Wix automatically sandboxes embed codes, some embed behaviors may be affected. For example, automatic scrolling may not work as expected. Since the involve.me embed cannot instruct the parent website to scroll back up, restarting the funnel may leave the participant at the bottom of the page, along with other behaviors related to sandboxing.
For the same reason, URL parameters cannot be captured and attached to embeds on Wix.
Wix-specific feature behavior
Some involve.me features are restricted or unavailable on Wix because of how Wix handles embedded content.
The following features are affected:
Automatic detection of URL parameters, including hidden fields
URL parameters cannot be automatically detected and attached to the embed on Wix.Limit multiple submissions from the same user
This feature is affected by Wix’s embed environment.Popup embeds
Popup embeds have some Wix-specific restrictions. Certain popup embed types, such as the Chat Button and Side Bars, as well as some customization features, do not work with Wix. We recommend testing different popup embed combinations to find the setup that works best for your website.Redirects inside the funnel
When redirects are used in the funnel, the redirect can happen inside the embed frame only. The parent website itself cannot be redirected.
