Is your email inbox cluttered with submission notifications? Are you looking for a way to receive notifications more quickly? Is Slack already a part of your workflow?
Then you might want to consider setting up our Slack integration.
If you want to test the integration before committing to a paid plan, you can do so by registering for a free 14-day trial.
Not entirely sure how to set up the integration? Make sure to learn about it in our dedicated article first.
Connecting the Integration
You can connect the integration either by navigating to the "Integrations" tab in the navbar or by opening the dropdown menu of your funnel's card and selecting "Connect" - then just click "Connect" on Slack's card.
In order to connect the integration, start by logging in to your Slack workspace:
Note: if you are logged in to multiple Slack workspaces, you can select your desired workspace from the dropdown menu in the top right corner.
After logging in, click "Allow" at the bottom of the page:
Once the integration is connected to a funnel, you can choose which Channel should receive the notifications, as well as which collected data from question fields (E.g. multiple choice elements, free text inputs, sliders, opt-in checkboxes, etc.) should be included in your notification messages.
Good to Know
All data that you collect is automatically sent to a channel of your choice as a message notification. It is not possible exclude certain data from being sent. Question elements are an exception to this rule, since you need to manually map these if you want to receive their data in your message notifications.
A new Slack notification will always be created for every new submission, even if the same email address is used.
If you have configured a Slack integration on a funnel and you duplicate said funnel, your integration settings will duplicate as well.
You can configure the integration for both public and private Slack channels.
When connecting the integration to a private channel, you'll first need to add the involve.me app manually in the "Integrations" tab of the channel options:
Opt-in Checkbox and GDPR
In order to be fully GDPR compliant, you will need to tick the option "Only trigger integration when opt-in checkbox element was selected" on your integration's settings and add a dedicated opt-in checkbox that sends data over to the integration, from your involve.me funnel.
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to set it up.
If GDPR is of no concern to you, then you can skip this step.
Testing Your Integration
Once the integration has been set up and connected to your funnel, it will be time to test it in order to ensure everything is working as intended, learn how to do it here.
