Is your email inbox cluttered with submission notifications? Are you looking for a way to receive notifications more quickly? Is Slack already a part of your workflow?

Then you might want to consider setting up our Slack integration.

Not entirely sure how to set up the integration? Make sure to learn about it in our dedicated article first.

You can connect the integration either by navigating to the "Integrations" tab in the navbar or by opening the dropdown menu of your project's card and selecting "Integrations" - then just click "Connect" on Slack's card.

In order to connect the integration, start by logging in to your Slack workspace:

Note: if you are logged in to multiple Slack workspaces, you can select your desired workspace from the dropdown menu in the top right corner.

After logging in, click "Allow" at the bottom of the page:

Once the integration is connected to a project, you can choose which Slack channel should receive the notifications and which custom fields should be included in your notification messages.

The Project Name and Email fields are always included.

Good to know

  • If you have configured a Slack integration on a project and you duplicate said project, your integration settings will duplicate as well.

  • You can configure the integration for both global and private Slack channels.

    • When connecting the integration to a private channel, the slack bot can not access the channel, so the message will be posted by the account that connected the integration.

Opt-in Checkbox and GDPR

In order to be fully GDPR compliant, you will need to tick the option "Only trigger integration when opt-in checkbox element was selected" on your integration's settings and add a dedicated opt-in checkbox that sends data over to the integration, to your involve.me project.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to set it up.

If GDPR is of no concern to you, then you can skip this step.

Testing your integration

Once the integration has been set up and connected to your project, it will be time to test it in order to ensure everything is working as intended, learn how to do it here.
