Wix is just one of the many platforms where you can embed your involve.me funnels, however sometimes the embed might not be working as intended, even though you made sure to follow all of the steps for embedding the funnel correctly.
If you noticed that your funnel is not responsive or part of it is being cut when you embed it, then this article is for you.
Make Sure the Embed Is Working
You should start by making sure that the embed is working properly. It can often happen that the preview mode is faulty when when it comes to embedding, so for this reason we always advise users to check the real view, the one that users will see.
You can put the embed on a website page that is not linked anywhere - this way users won't be able to access that page but you'll still be able to test the embed to see if it is working correctly or not.
What to Do if the Embed Is Still Not Working
The fix for most embed issues in Wix comes down to the embedding method that you're using. There is one that we recommend and usually does the work, which consists in using your funnel's URL instead of the HTML embed code that we provide.
Simply head over to the "Add Elements" section and select "Embed Code" followed by "Embed a site". From there, just enter the URL of your funnel and it will show up on your Wix website.
Dynamic resize doesn't work properly on Wix, so you may have to do some testing with the dimensions in order to find something that works for you.
What Causes This Problem to Happen?
Wix does not allow real embeds, this in turn means that the inside of the embed will never be able to speak to the outside (the outside being the parent website).
Any embed codes that you may try to add will always be automatically sandboxed by Wix, and this is why in some cases your funnel might experience some issues when it comes to automatic scrolling (often the lack of). Since our embed can't instruct the website to scroll back up, it can be that you always end up at the bottom of the page when you restart the funnel, among other issues that may come with sandboxing.
Due to it is also not possible capture URL parameters and attach them to embeds.
Features That Are Not Available on Wix Embeds
The following features are either restricted or just simply not available due to Wix’s limitations on what they allow.
Automatic detection of URL parameters (hidden fields).
Pop-up embeds - there are limitations to this, as certain pop-up embed types (like the Chat Button and the Side Bars) and customization features will not work with Wix. You will need to do some testing before finding a combination that works.
