With the native HighLevel integration, you can automatically add participants to your contacts list and also receive submission data that you collected from them.

If you want to test the integration before committing to a paid plan, you can do so by registering for a free 14-day trial.

Not entirely sure how to set up the integration? Make sure to learn about it in our dedicated article first.

Connecting the Integration

You can connect the integration either by navigating to the "Integrations" tab in the navbar or by opening the dropdown menu of your funnel's card and selecting "Connect" - then just click "Connect" on HighLevel's card.

In order to connect the integration, you'll need to first make sure that you're logged into your HighLevel account, if you're not then you'll be prompted to do so.

Once you're logged in to your account, just first pick the account that you want to use and that should be it. Your HighLevel connection is now ready to be used.

On your newly created connection, you'll be able to see several bits of information from the HighLevel account you're using, such as: Location ID, email address and business name.

Data Mapping for the HighLevel Integration

The integration will always send the email property automatically.

In order for your list to accept more data, make sure to create custom fields in HighLevel accordingly.

Once the integration has been connected to your funnel, you'll find the button "Manage Custom Fields" on the funnel's integration settings, which is where you can map the involve.me fields to the integration fields.

In order to map involve.me fields to HighLevel fields, you just need to pick your involve.me field first, and then pick the HighLevel field that should get that data, and so on.

For more information on mapping please see this article here.

Tags

involve.me submissions can not only create custom fields but also assign tags in HighLevel automatically.

In your funnel's integrations setup under the “Manage Tags & Custom Fields” button, you can turn on tags for different kinds of submission data:

  • Outcomes

  • Funnel name

  • Answers from questions

  • When an opt-in checkbox was ticked

Tags will allow you to trigger different actions in your HighLevel account or help you organize incoming data. Please be aware that in order to have tags set you do not need to also setup custom fields, they can be used independently.

Good to Know

  • If you're using a checkbox field type, make sure to create the options for it. The option name can be whatever you want, but for the option value it will have to be either "true" or "false" - you can also have an option for each.

True and false are the values that involve.me sends to HighLevel:

    • True - Checkbox has been checked

    • False - Checkbox was left unchecked

  • If you have configured a HighLevel integration on a funnel and you duplicate said funnel, your integration settings will duplicate as well.

Opt-in Checkbox and GDPR

In order to be fully GDPR compliant, you will need to tick the option "Only trigger integration when opt-in checkbox element was selected" on your integration's settings and add a dedicated opt-in checkbox that sends data over to the integration, to your involve.me funnel.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to set it up.

If GDPR is of no concern to you, then you can skip this step.

Testing your integration

Once the integration has been set up and connected to your funnel, it will be time to test it in order to ensure everything is working as intended, learn how to do it here.
