With our native Emarsys integration you can automatically send collected submission data to your contact lists in Emarsys, to help you create personalized omnichannel experiences.
If you want to test the integration before committing to a paid plan, you can do so by registering for a free 14-day trial.
Not entirely sure how to set up the integration? Make sure to learn about it in our dedicated article first.
Connecting the Integration
You can connect the integration either by navigating to the "Integrations" tab in the navbar or by opening the dropdown menu of your funnel's card and selecting "Connect" - then just click "Connect" on Emarsys' card.
In order to connect the integration, start by entering an Internal Connection Name, then enter your Emarsys Username and Secret.
ℹ️ Regardless of whether you're creating a new API user, or plan on using a currently existing one, please ensure that the following permissions have been granted to it:
contact.batchUpdate
contact.update
contactlist.list
customer.settings
field.list
field.multichoice.list
field.singlechoice.trans.list
Without these permissions it won't be possible to create the connection - instead you'll be prompted with an error message.
Once you have connected integration, you'll be able to see the name of your connection and the email of the Emarsys account you're using.
Data Mapping for the Emarsys Integration
The integration will send email and default properties automatically.
In order for your list to accept more data, make sure to create custom fields in Emarsys accordingly.
Once the integration has been connected to your funnel, you'll find the button "Manage Custom Fields" on the funnel's integration settings, which is where you can map the involve.me fields to the integration fields.

Good to Know
Make sure your API user has the necessary permissions, or you won't be able to create a connection!
Emarsys has a predefined set of titles and job positions that it accepts, so if your user does not enter one of these set titles/jobs, the respective custom fields in Emarsys will be empty.
Titles: Dr., Mag., Ing., Dipl.Ing., Prof., Dkfm., Dir. and Prok.
Job Positions: Administration, CEO, CFO, CIO, CMO, COO, CTO, Chairman, Consultant, Controller, Designer, IT/IS Director, IT/IS Staff, Manager, PR/Marketing, President, Press/Journalist, Product/Brand Management, Sales/Business Development, Supervisor, System Integrator, VP Marketing, VP Sales, Self-employed, Intern, Student, Retired, Unemployed, Home and Other.
Custom fields on existing contacts will be updated when the same email is sent again.
If you have configured an Emarsys integration on a funnel and you duplicate said funnel, your integration settings will duplicate as well.
Opt-in Checkbox and GDPR
In order to be fully GDPR compliant, you will need to tick the option "Only trigger integration when opt-in checkbox element was selected" on your integration's settings and add a dedicated opt-in checkbox that sends data over to the integration, from your involve.me funnel.
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to set it up.
If GDPR is of no concern to you, then you can skip this step.
Testing Your Integration
Once the integration has been set up and connected to your funnel, it will be time to test it in order to ensure everything is working as intended, learn how to do it here.
