You can add participants automatically to your SendPulse mailing lists and pipelines using the native SendPulse integration.
If you want to test the integration before committing to a paid plan, you can do so by registering for a free 14-day trial.
Not entirely sure how to set up the integration? Make sure to learn about it in our dedicated article first.
Connecting the Integration
You can connect the integration either by navigating to the "Integrations" tab in the navbar or by opening the dropdown menu of your funnel's card and selecting "Connect" - then just click "Connect" on SendPulse's card.
In order to connect the integration, start by entering an Internal Connection Name, then enter your SendPulse API ID and Secret.
Once you have connected the integration, you'll be able to see it on the list of available apps along with the name of your connection and the email of the SendPulse connection you're using.
SendPulse Emails Lists and CRM
While in your integration's settings screen, you'll notice that you can choose between two SendPulse entities: Contacts on Emails Lists and CRM. Whichever you choose, is the one that will be used with the integration.
If Contacts on Emails Lists is selected, then you should choose the Email List next. But, if Contacts in CRM is selected you should select the Pipeline, Steps and, finally, the Team Member.
Data Mapping for the SendPulse Integration
The integration will always send the email property automatically.
In order for your pipelines to accept more data, make sure to create fields in SendPulse's CRM.
Once the integration has been connected to your funnel, you'll find the button "Manage Custom Fields" on the funnel's integration settings, which is where you can map the involve.me fields to the integration fields.
In order to map involve.me fields to SendPulse fields, you just need to pick your involve.me field first, and then pick the SendPulse field that should get that data, and so on.
For more information on mapping please see this article here.
Good to Know
If you have configured a SendPulse integration on a funnel and you duplicate said funnel, your integration settings will duplicate as well.
When Emails Lists receive the same contact email from different submissions, a new contact is not created. The existing contact with the same email will be updated.
If CRM pipelines receive the same contact email in different submissions, deals are created for each submission and the previous deals are updated with fields from the last submission.
Tags
involve.me submissions can not only create custom fields but also assign tags in SendPulse automatically in your pipelines.
In your funnel's integrations setup under the “Manage Tags & Custom Fields” button, you can turn on tags all different kinds of submission data, like:
Outcomes
Funnel name
Contact form fields
Answers from questions
When an opt-in checkbox was ticked
& more
Tags will allow you to trigger different actions in your SendPulse account or help you organize incoming data. Please be aware that in order to have tags set you do not need to also setup custom fields, they can be used independently.
ℹ️ The above described is for CRM pipelines, tags are not available for Emails Lists.
Opt-in Checkbox and GDPR
In order to be fully GDPR compliant, you will need to tick the option "Only trigger integration when opt-in checkbox element was selected" on your integration's settings and add a dedicated opt-in checkbox that sends data over to the integration, to your involve.me funnel.
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to set it up.
If GDPR is of no concern to you, then you can skip this step.
Testing Your Integration
Once the integration has been set up and connected to your funnel, it will be time to test it in order to ensure everything is working as intended, learn how to do it here.
